I am not trying to decide who was wrong or right. I am looking back at the times when I was growing up in gouyave (the l'anse) There were many mental or crazy people who attempted to use cutlass, bottles and many other objects to defend themselves. Some were succesful in their attempts. The policemen did not have guns, but they were able to apprehend the people with their night sticks and any other means of holding them down. Since Grenadians started having access to guns they find every excuse to use them. Are we trying to be like Trinidad and Jamaica. We know that there are guns in Grenada. We know that they will always get in the wrong hands, especially the youths. The Government should have stronger policy in place to put the dealers out of commission. Let's make (Officer Beast) "commisioner of gun control."
